Lovely shot Alan, haven't seen any this year. I took a picture of a Red Admiral at the weekend, sitting on a rudbeckia, if it is in focus I am thinking of putting it on as a desktop background.

Well captured Alan, we've been desperately short of butterflies in the garden this year...

Nice one. I've seen a lot of Red Admirals recently. I took a few photos as well.

My Buddlea died last year so bought a new one some weeks ago and it has flowered and we are back in tune with the butterflies again.

Re: A Clouded Yellow.

Hi Alan just noticed this, your Butterfly is a Brimstone, the leaf shaped wings are diagnostic, as is the dark red spot on the underwings (white in the Clouded Yellow).

Dont get these up my way, too far North, so ive yet to see one.
