A Bit Prickly

Saw this little fellow just outside a hedge, would love to have
taken him home to look after the garden but he seems a baby so put him back in the field he'd wondered from.

Awww... sweet! On this side of the pond they're 'exotic' pets. My daughter had one for a few years and loved it.

A gorgeous little Hedgehog. We had one in our garden here in Spain a couple of years ago much to our surprise, we rarely see them here.

Very sweet Gabi I was so upset when a hedgehog got caught in my strawberry netting. He was fine though and still comes in my garden.

Re: A Bit Prickly

He is gorgeous little fellow.
Sorry to tell you this but if he is a baby, he will not survive the winter, he needs putting in a box and fed and watered till the spring.
I found one which had come into the pub one night, I put him in a crisp box and took him home, and telephoned the Hedgehog rescue who told me how to look after him
I named him Cooper, after the pubs name, after he was let loose he stayed in my garden for years, and eventually there was a family of them running around all our back gardens in our block.
We fed him on cats meat and water, in the greenhouse, wrapped in a blanket and he left in the spring.
Cooper was only about 4 inches long when found.
