Granma

I know this photo means nothing to anybody else but as some of you like old photos this is my grandmother on my mothers side. I never met her she died shortly after I was born and was supposed to be a medium.

The other photo is of my sister holding me at the Queens Coronation street party. This is the sister that now lives in S.Africa and is in her 70's and yes I was a fat baby National Dried milk I was told! Still am lol.

Re: Granma

Lovely photos Kath, your grandmother looked a nice lady, it's a shame she died soon after you were born.

You looked a very sweet, cuddly baby in the photo with your sister holding you.

Thanks for showing them to us.

Re: Granma

I love the old photos too, especially of people in context such as these two pictures Kath. Your grandma does look a nice lady and she has a kind face, and the street party must have just started, as all the kid's clothes are still amazingly clean....

Re: Granma

Great photos Kath - and Barry is correct in saying what a kind face your Grandma has.

I posted some old family photos of my Grandparents and Great Grandparents on the forum not long after it was formed but there was a special section for them in those days. They are probably lost amongst the General Chat somewhere now!

Re: Granma

I too love old photo's and they reproduce really well too a lot better than a lot of the ones taken in the 80s do...
