Bernard Lovell has snuffed it aged 98 He of Jodrell Bank fame.BL was never pleased at what he was made to be a part of and there's an interesting article here Bernard Lovell has snuffed it aged 98 He of Jodrell Bank fame. When built it was claimed to re nothing more than a research radio telescope but in reality it was a part of the secret missile defence facilities until the US exported part of THEIR early warning system onto OUR soil.
BL was never pleased at what he was made to be a part of and there's an interesting article here

There is much that goes on that we know nothing about.
I also think Lovell was an ok chap.
