In Case of Emergency

I got to wondering tonight if anybody has had the fore-thought to keep special numbers on them in case of emergency.

When I used to have a mobile phone I punched in ICOE, (which is a recognised contact with the emergency services) with a phone number in case I was in an accident, or for a more fatal reason, mainly because I live alone, but it could happen to anyone.

I no longer have a mobile phone, so I decided to write out the contact numbers on a piece of paper which I've put into my purse.

Has anyone else done this?

Re: In Case of Emergency

I have kept two emergency contact numbers in my purse for years and I also tape them to the inside to my suitcase when going abroad on holiday.

Annie, there are many people here who care about you, including me......

I'm a bit like Annie no family so no numbers to give. I would only worry about care of my dogs if I was suddenly taken into hospital. Hopefully it won't happen.

Re: In Case of Emergency

Don't put your address in your purse, thieves love that, try putting your national insurance number, that will suffice, or maybe your doctors phone number would be very useful for medical teams to know what you are taking.
If you are hurt to the point you cannot talk, chances are the police wont let anybody know for 24 hours they couldn't help you anyway.
