Re: Photos from last night's fiesta
Thank you all. Not a saints day this time Meg, these are the Moors and Christians fiestas, you can see what it's about here:

We go along to as many as we can, we never tire of them. The bands are wonderful, the routines and costumes spectacular, the atmosphere is always brilliant. The only thing you pay for is a chair, that's if you want to, you can take your own or just park yourself somewhere. Last night we paid 5 euros for a chair, but Orihuela is a city and one of the largest processions. What is 5 euros for over 3 hours of spectacular entertainment? The only thing is you have to get there early to get a front row chair and you can be sitting around for some time. If you arrive on time or a short time before you have no chance of a chair, they go from empty to full in seconds. We don't mind sitting and waiting, we watch the groups marching up and down practising and watch all the people walking up and down, plus of course it's very warm so pleasant just to sit and people watch.
