It slightly annoys me when they try to explain something they know nothing about, like a priest telling you about the afterlife. I don't know why this year is so bad but I have to put up with it like the rest of us. What they are basically saying is that we are on the wrong side of the "Stream" at the moment and it's tough luck, it's all about hot air...and don't we know it, they admit they don't know why the stream is staying the same shape (I wish I could say the same for the wife.) and until it changes we are stuck with it. Next you have Rossby's Waves, where did he spring from?, it seems he's a meteorologist who wrote about them in 1939, good for him, another gobshite with his head in the clouds, may also be blamed, why not blame me if it makes you feel any better. the fact is they cannot predict the weather and that's that, better to keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best.

I'm bliddy sick of the rain.
We had planned a visit to an open air market but there is no pleasure in walking around in soggy clothes, so that's another trip cancelled.

We know by now that the reason for the poor weather is that the jet stream is below us instead of above us but no-one can tell us why that is or when it will move north again.

It can't move back quick enough for me. So tired of getting soaked through twice a day when I have to walk the Pup.

Its awful Roxy and I am having a constant battle with slugs where I am trying to grow a second crop of lettuces. I've put a slug trap filled with beer and pet safe pellets but still they manage to eat the leaves

Now that's what I call well looked after slugs, beer and food!!
Pesky little devils aren't they. We keep the dried dog food in a special plastic tub with lid just made for dog food and every now and then we find a path of slime! How on earth they get in their we can't figure out, and not caught them yet!
