Laurel sticks and Canal

A pile of Laurel sticks (apart from the one with a different colour). I thought they made a sort of good subject with the sun shining on them:

The picture reminds me of my lovely Uncle Albert who could lay (pleach in Derbyshire ) a hedge to perfection .

Well I tried to see a Canal but had to give up then Bingo there it was..... as for the sticks, Well whatever rocks your boat I suppose.
