Zebra & Gazelle

Today's zoo shoot only yielded one keeper. I shot many frames but was only pleased with one shot. This zoo environment, with zebras, gazelles & vultures makes for a very natural looking scene. I love the coloration of the animals in the frame. The sun was high in the sky making framing and composition critical to get as much highlight detail as possible.

Great photo Bob, everything appears to tone in so well that it was almost a case of 'spot the animal'

At first I thought the two moss covered mounds on the left were giant tortoises!

That is a lovely photo. The thing I miss most of all now we no longer live in Africa is the wildlife and the safaries I used to go on as often as possible. Here there are no zoos close enough to visit often.

We've only got one Zebra left Joe. The second one croaked about a year ago. I think we'll hang onto the final one. No baby zebras for our zoo.

Bob matey - they have 1000s of 'em in Africa, - you'll just have to import a few from Kenya or Zimbabwe and start your own breeding programme.
