ipads

I bought an ipad a couple of months ago encouraged by my kids to do so. "You will love it, Mum!" Well Mum doesn't love it at all, I just can't get into the thing! It is sitting on the stool looking reproachfully at me as I type this on my laptop. Does anyone else have a problem with ipads?

My sister loves hers too!

I thought it would be useful as whilst we are staying with our daughter my main frame computer, on which I do all my artwork etc, is in store. My husband uses the laptop. Anyway I have just had to go out and buy another laptop for my own use, computer share with my husband is the quickest way to have one of us sent down for murder!

Its the little things that drive me mad most like to clear the screen you have to tip it sideways, I havent got one but a friend has and I could scream when he does that.

Don't talk to me about the latest gadgets, I'm selling a smart phone for about half the price I paid for it 3 months ago because it's worse than my old phone to use. Nothing is obvious about using it- I think designers should concentrate more on making things user-friendly.

I never got round to using an Ipad. It may be the latest teckky thing going round and portable, but I fail to see what it can do that my trusty laptop doesn't do already.

If I had a use for one, I may consider owning one.

Alan> I have an old Nokia slide phone. It texts and make calls. Occasionally at work, it comes in handy to take a picture when my own camera isn't around. By today's standards, its antiquated and primitive. But it does exactly what I want it to do, its cheap and I have no contract commitments. As i see it, Smartphones are ok if you like playing games and annoying people in public whilst Facebooking.

I thought that I would try the ipad....



But I didn't get on with it, so I got the ipad2....



But couldn't see what the fuss was all about...
