Are pets objects?

Aren't pets objects, albeit it ones which shouldn't be ill-treated?

No pets are not objects - how can they be? - I don't know why you would think that.

It's not a matter of preference - rather a matter of accuracy, I think.

Pets will never be objects They are living creatures with feelings. Would you call a child an object as well ??

An animal is NOT a child, and whilst it shouldn't be ill-treated it is only an animal and a possession!

What a load of rubbish!! My dogs are as important as children and they will never ever be just possessions. I have adoption papers for them from the rescue home just as you would for a child. You are so wrong here it is UNBELIEVABLE.

Give me a dog rather than a squawking brat any day.

Sorry Roxy but yes it does matter to me very much. I will not have my dogs called mere possessions by anyone.
