The Dog Next Door

I met one of my apartment neighbors today while we waited for our postman to put our mail in the boxes. We struck up a long conversation while I sat there scratching the belly of his beautiful dog. Since I generally have my camera with me I took the opportunity to capture a few frames of the dog. The photo is so detailed you can see the reflection of me taking the picture in the dog's eye.

He/she really was a friendly dog. As I was talking to the dog's owner it was my constant companion, rolling on its back begging for a belly scratch. Because I had a 24-70mm lens aboard the camera I could really get close to capture the detail in its fur. It was a natural "Kodak Moment".

I'm not sure it's just one breed. I remember years ago my mother mentioned that a dog with a black tongue had some Spitz in it.
