Chatsworth

I've just been watching the new series on Chatsworth, BBC1.

This was of great interest to me as not only was I brought up around there, the park was my playground, but I also lived at Chatsworth itself for 13 years, my ex husband is still there. I recognised some names on tonight's programme but the only faces I recognised were of the (now) Dowager Duchess and the present Duke, Peregrin. I can't believe how he has aged !

Perhaps next week I might actually recognise a face !

Re: Chatsworth

I also watched Chatsworth tonight. Found it interesting, probably because I visited Chatsworth with my sister when she was over from Australia.

Re: Chatsworth

I have recorded it and will watch it later

Having grown up in Derbyshire it will be interesting to watch. Dad knew the old Duke quite well , he was President of the band of which Dad was secretary.

Re: Chatsworth

I've recorded it as well and will watch it on Wednesday. We visit Chatsworth around half a dozen times a year as we meet some of Mrs PM's relatives there for lunch, but I've never seen inside the house...much too expensive and once you've paid car parking and bought lunch, there isn't that much money left...
