After saying yesterday that I haven't seen any newborn waterbirds yet, we saw some cootlings ( ducks have ducklings so surely coots have cootlings!) yesterday when we went a walk around Wicksteed park.

Plans for today are vague at the moment but may include cooking plaice for lunch, walking the dogs and relaxing with a book, but in no particular order...

Good morning everybody. The skies are darkening here too and rain is not far away.

After a very hectic few days my plans for today are to just do what's necessary!! Have a couple of dogs to take home this afternoon to Cockermouth so should be home in time for Bonnie's tea!

Am also missing AB's photos! I was in Windermere for the weekend at a conference and missed catching up with people so wondered if he was away! Hey that's some camel Rosemary!

Its been 4 years today since I moved to Cumbria and thought it fitting to post a couple of photos I took whilst at the conference at the weekend. They are both of the same view but with completely different light.

Good morning all. We had a glorious weekend here with record high temperatures reaching 27C yesterday. After three such days we're back to a high of 21C today, still quite nice.

I managed to sneak out for one photo with a new longer telephoto lens that just arrived. The Canadian geese in my back yard didn't seem to mind as they are quite tame & content living here.

It's off to McDonald's for me this morning with nothing much planned. We're in for a bit of rain today and they next few days as we cool back down to our normal weather pattern for this time of year. Have a great day all!
