Jack Frost's small brother is around this morning and the fields are looking white not green, my weather staion is registering -1.4 degrees and Mother natures creatures from the sea are searching for food along side their country cousins. The noise is deafening so how people can sleep in I do not know.

Plans for today are some retailing therapy this morning, lunch at some local establishment and then a relaxing afternoon doing absolutely nowt but watch you.

Good morning to you Bob and all fellow members to follow.

Into town for us too this morning to go to the bank, coffee in the precinct and then a walk around the shops. Bangers and mash for lunch methinks and then we'll spend the afternoon in the garden, weather permitting..

Good Morning Bob, Barry, Meg and All A beautiful sunny start to the day so far, although a wee bit chilly, but lovely! Loki is enjoying a snooze out on the veranda in the shade!!

The parrots are waiting for their bath and having their cages cleaned I hate the latter part! Fun trying to get them to stay still long enough to shower them!! The joys!!!

Love that photo, Bob, and loved those links!! Brought back my days of going to the Locarno, Barrowland and the Denny Palais (where Lulu started her singing career, more or less!) Aye, those were the days!! Many thanks for sharing.

Good morning all, we'll be watching the National this afternoon to see if our bets come up. It's the one day in the year when we have a bet and boy do we splash out - £2 EW on two horses each (£16 in total). The last of the big spenders !

Due to my work, I have to be available for any emergency work so I'm limited as to what I can do this weekend. Probably manage to go out somewhere local for a bite to eat, maybe get some photo prints done. Not in the mood to tackle the mess that is my garden.

Finally got a text from the pharmacy! only two days late ..so will be going there and to B&Q then fish and chip shop. Gardening in the afternoon, weather permitting.

I went into the bookies yesterday to do my Irish lottery. They were taking bets on how many horses would finish the race this afternoon. I said to the young lady at the counter, they will be taking bets on how many horses die in the race next and she replied "I'm sure the boss could work out the odds if you wanted"

Good morning all. It's really early for me to be up but I can't sleep due to excitement over Packy the elephant's 50th birthday party at the zoo today. There are all sorts of photo opportunities along with an expected crowd of 10,000 visitors. I'll be sure to get there well before the gates open for a parking spot and close proximity to the front of the line. The weather is cooperating with clear, dry weather predicted with a high of 20C.

Hello everyone a dull, wet day and a bit on the chilly side.

Did the weekend shop early this morning and have escorted Mr Dyson around the rooms. Nothing special planned for the rest of the day except to tidy my desk
