American Bobcat

This cat moves continuously, making it difficult to set up a shot. I grabbed this one after tracking the cat in its course around their habitat. He/she stopped for just a split second.

It's certainly a top predator for game in its habitat. Rabbits, squirrels and birds are all on the lookout for this cat. It's about the size of a small dog with a stub tail.

I have those coming into my yard looking for food. The first time I seen one after moving up here (High desert forest. . .Sequoia National Forest) I was looking out my back door and spotted my canine daughter chasing one. I was so afraid that she would catch it and ran after her to try to stop her.
The Lynx ran up my fence and over to the river bank. I was thanking God and fell to my feet caressing my girl. I had no idea what I could have done if the Lynx stopped and waited for Julia to catch up with her. I do know I would have been right in the middle trying to tear the cat away from my daughter no matter the circumstances.

One guy around here had a grill going on his back porch and a Lynx came up to the porch wanting a plate of ribs. All he did was shooo it away!

I love all animals

I put stuff out for any critters. I have Black Bears, coming to knock down the trash and lay there chomping away. The trash can is at the end of my carporch. The extra bedroom window is right there also. I watch from there.
If'n he wants to come in. . . I know no door will keep him/her out.
