I was never a Monkeys fan but I did like Davey Jones .

He was quite young really, a sad reminder to us all that our time here is finite .

Me too As a big fan of the Monkees, I went to see them perform in Wembley and remember wearing a purple bloomer outfit with white polka dots, thought I was the bees' knees.

I liked the Monkees too but especially Davy Jones.
That's no age, 66 and yes Meg it is a sad reminder to us all.

Carmen, was that in 1967 with Lulu? I went to that but can't remember what I was wearing. The Monkees weren't my all time favourites but little Davey was so cute.

I was one of their biggest fans when I was at school, MAD on them I was. I'm very sad to hear the news about Davy. I still have all their original albums and singles. My favourite was Micky Dolenz.

Davey Jones was inerviewed on the TV not too long ago - I think he was touring the country again. He looked very fit and well. I'm sorry to hear that he has died so suddenly - only 66 - that's no age.

I remember watching the Monkeys on Saturday lunch-times, although Micky Dolenz was funny and my favourite, I liked Davey Jones as well. RIP Davey.
