Do Canadians use the cup for measuring in recipes?
And what is a cup equivalent to?

I love sprats pixie, you can also get another little fish called whiting. Just toss them in flour and fry, like Uncle Joe says. Good for you too.

Hope it's ok to jump in here - yes, we use the cup and 1 cup = 16 tablespoons. Does that help?

I've never had sprats but I'm not sure what I think of eating them whole. I guess they're too small to filet?

Me to hope it is ok to jump in here. Just got some recipes from Canada involving cups and was told it equals 2,5 dl.

I checked here: http://www.onlineconversion.com/cooking_volume.htm and the metric cup = 2.5 but the Canadian was converted as 2.273.
