Ken Goodwin
As well as losing Mr Carson, It has also been announced that another resident of the 1970's show The Comedians, Ken Goodwin has also died.
A local lad - born in Manchester - also headlined at the London Palladium in that decade after being discovered on the show.
He was best known for the catchphrase "settle down now, settle down".
In his act he never had to resort to foul language or descend into filth to be funny and thereby get folks laughing.
Off stage he was a very gentle and quietly spoken man and after retiring went to live in Llandudno.
He died on Saturday at a nursing home in Conwy, after suffering from Alzheimer's for several years.
RIP Ken, and thanks.
No sick jokes please.
