Coat hangers.

I hate them but you can't live without them.

I cleared out my wardrobe yesterday and the hangers seem to have a life of their own. They were catching on other clothes and hooking onto other hangers. I have the same problem while shopping for clothes.

Re: Coat hangers.

I have the same problem with hangers hooking on other clothes and have often dropped other clothes whilst trying to untangle them.

I usually bundle a few up every now and again and take them to a Charity shop where they are always welcome.

I hate the ones you get in most hotels, when you have to fiddle about trying to detach the metal rod from the holder. Sometimes, its like trying to get a hole in one!

One of my pet hates are the ones in shops particularly those holding underwear which is folded back on itself . You remove a garment to look at the size (because there isn't one on the hanger )then can't get it back on again.
When this happens I hurriedly drape the item over the rail and pretend it is nothing to do with me

Re: Coat hangers.

I have a theory about coat hangers, especially the thin metal ones.
Have you noticed that once the wardrobe is tidy and the door closed, you go back next day and they
are all tangled again? They make whoopee as soon as your back is turned and they multiply

Re: Coat hangers.

Yep, they definitely breed. My theory is that, because they become entangled with each other, they have to breed to further their existence and survival and, one day, they'll take over the world!

Which will be the dominant species though? The wire ones, wooden, or plastic?
