Very sad, let's hope lots of the pets will get re-united with their owners.

I was surprised to see an ostrich there in Japan, maybe it escaped from a zoo

I wondered that too Mags..one on its own, so not from an ostrich farm then?

It is very sad but good to know that people are caring enough to do their best to rescue these animals and reunite them with their owners. I hope that evenutally they are all back where they should be and learn to trust again.
