Out of control elephants

Every day I get some news stories on my laptop. yesterday there was a story about a herd of elephants which had all of the adult male elephants killed by poachers.
As time passed, 2 young male elephants came of age and began to produce huge amounts of testosterone. This resulted in the teenage elephants running wild and goring hippos and rhinos.
Someone at the game preserve came up with the idea of transplanting several male adult elephants in an effort to bring the youngsters under control. Sure enough, the adult male elephants got tired of the unruly youngsters and began to "smack down" the teenage trouble makers.
Through testing, it was discovered that when the adult male elephants appeared, the amount of testosterone in the teenagers dropped dramatically and peace was restored.

An example we could use ourselves for our unruly youth.

It's a curious thing about human children, quite often they pay little attention to what mom says. However, when dad barks in a deep voice, and says "Do what your mother said. Right now" the kid immediately obeys.

Its the Inhuman children that seem to be the source of the problem.

Re: Out of control elephants

I can recall when there was an occasion for discipline my mother always used to say "Just you wait until your father gets home and he hears about this". Not that he was anything other than strict but fair. More often than not it would be a 'good talking to' with reasons given as to why whatever the inappropriate behaviour was, is not acceptable and would not be tolerated.

Recently I have heard on TV programmes when young people have actually said that they need boundaries. They also added that without these how are they supposed to know what's expected or not expected? That's quite understandable if they are not shown what is right and what is wrong from a young age.
