Ice cream vendors

Do you have any in your area ?

We have one and he's driving me crazy with the chimes, it goes on all day from 3 in the afternoon 'till 10 at night, he's been at it for 5 years, I'd hate to be a night-shift worker listening to this all day.

He's got the volume up to max, we can even hear it over the TV, I phoned the council last year and they said there's nothing can be done as long as he don't pass the 10PM time limit.

Re: Ice cream vendors

We used to have one come round years ago but since our road has been made into a sort of cul-de=sac, we have seen one. Come to that though, I haven't heard one around this area for ages....

Re: Ice cream vendors

How annoying!
I thought there were rules to restrict them becoming a nuisance?

Re: Ice cream vendors

My favourite ice cream is Carte D'Or Lavazza - it's extremely moreish...

I have often wondered about the hygiene standards of mobile ice cream vendors.

Have you tried that Carte D'or with dark cherries.

Re: Ice cream vendors

We have one that comes around our estate but once he's been around that's it. It's only a quick 10 mins we can hear the chimes and that's it. Sometimes I do participate by having a yummy ice cream, usually one of those 99 ones with a chocolate flake bunged in it. Like you Mags, I also worry about the hygiene standards, especially when he handles cash with his hands

I also love Carte d'or and Ben and Jerrys.

Re: Ice cream vendors

Luckily we don't although I did follow one up the school drive the other day, they had a circus organised by the friends of the school so I presume it was invited.
