The Ladies Nights held by my Dad's Masonic lodge in London. They were really 'posh', but I prefered the more informal Lodge of Instruction suppers. Those were much more fun.

Neat! Me too, but not in London .

I've also been to many Navy balls, the loveliest beneath coconut trees and a Pacific moon at a beautiful outdoor venue near the base of Diamond Head in Hawai'i. Gowns, long evening gloves, and all the men deliciously handsome in their dress white uniforms. Heavenly.
