Put peeled onions in a room which you are painting. It apparently takes away the smell of the paint.

To remove gravy or sauce spilled on a tablecloth, cover the stain with talcum powder to absorb the mess.

How about line plant pots with old tights — they keep the soil in while still allowing the water to drain.

Here's a tip for Driver's that belong to the AA.Don't pay what they ask for when you get your renewal.Always ring them and say you will leave if they don't give you a better price especially if you haven't used them in the past year.I belong to the Road Side policy....Relay and Home Start.I now get the Home Start free....just by asking.A friend I passed this tip onto and they got a great discount that astonished them....if you don't ask you won't get.

Put the lid on part tins of gloss paint tight, then store upside down, next time you use them the skin is at the bottom.

Save the water in which fresh vegetables are boiled.Keep it in the Fridge and use it later in the week when you are making a Soup as the vegetable stock is excellent for the base of it.
