Would you donate to the RSPB ?

RSPB Royal society for protection of birds. Would you donate to them? this make make you think again.

The Charity Commission requires each registered charity to lodge detailed annual accounts, which are published on https://register-of-charities.charitycommission.gov.uk/

For example: the accounts for the RSPB's year ending 31 March 2020, reported 2,074 employees of whom...

24 were paid £60k to £70k
6 were paid £70k to £80k
8 were paid £80k to £90k
1 was paid £90k to £100k
4 were paid £100k to £110k
1 was paid £110k to £120k

All the bigger charities do the same. It is quite an industry, that's why before donating it's worth researching how much actually is spent on the cause you're supporting.

Would I donate to the RSPB? No, I certainly wouldn't but not on the grounds Realspeed stated. I wouldn't donate to it because of its stance regarding angling and anglers.

The last boss lady stated publicly that she was seeking to get coarse angling banned from ALL inland waters (not just waters on their own properties) because of the damage anglers do to birds in particular and wildlife in general. Most anglers always pick up at least their own litter (and that of others - including non-anglers) and put it in a bin or take it home with them for disposal.

Anglers are the most wildlife orientated people I know! They take great care of most of the waterways they use - for obvious reasons.

Exactly 100% correct Pixie. If it wasn't for us anglers most of the UK's waterways wouldn't be usable. We're mainly the ones that report leaks in canals, pollution events, fallen trees blocking rivers and canals, etc.
