Thanks Mary, there are five flower heads on it and the stalk is 19" tall!

Unfortunately I've forgotten the name of it, so if anyone can help I would be very grateful.

That's stunning Meg, we usually grow them but for some reason haven't bothered this year....now if I could just remember what that reason was ....

That's beautiful Mags......made me realise that I was resting mine in the greenhouse. What's the betting I've lost it I'm going to check it in the morning.

Thanks Janela You'll be surprised at how hardy the bulbs are, I had one out in a cool room, I planted it in some compost and brought it indoors last week ..... there wasn't a trace of green on it then but now I can see the beginning of a green leaf peeping up ...... I'm keeping my fingers that one may flower as well

Have a look in your shed Barry, I found a couple in there during the summer which I'd forgotten all about.
