In the "old" days people who wanted you to buy their product/ service whatever would throw you a pitch, browbeat you, entice you and use all sorts of other tactics and techniques to submit. But at least then you had the final option of saying no. NOw they don't bother with all that. They just sign you up. Then it's up to you to negotiate the maze of "consciously uncoupling" from them. And that is, invariably, a very difficult thing to do. hey gamble on you just copping it sweet. At the risk of being growled at, this site is a perfect example. Do you see a "quit site" box obvious anywhere? Sure the admin may say "All you have to do is ask"..I did once. The reply was.."Well you can't really".....Re: Eeek - I don't want it!! (Amazon Prime)

My husband has been caught a few times - one time he didn't even notice until he checked his bank account and saw subscription payments going back several months. I have amazon prime because I do order a lot from them, especially during this pandemic, plus I enjoy the TV streaming service and the cheap rate for music on my Amazon echo.
