Cold Saturday

Good morning all

-1 degree, bird baths frozen over and a lot of mother natures birds are up and were welcoming us on our walk this morning, I think is is to cold for them to sleep, the Owls were talking to each other and the farmyard was a hive of activity. Winter is here and looks like it is staying for a while.

Nothing planned for today except to check our neighbours heating is working, they went on a 87 day cruise round the coasts of South America yesterday. Lunch is at home and who knows what the afternoon will bring.

Good morning everyone a very cold morning it is too after a heavy frost.

The field next to my house looks like a white and green spotted handkerchief. Where the sheep have been laying the field stayed green while the rest turned to white creating a spotted effect . I don't know why the silly animals don't all snuggle together when it is cold.

Lots to do today. The family are coming to lunch tomorrow and it is a major operation moving the kitchen table to make room for three high chairs and childproofing the sitting room as well as baking in preparation.

Just enjoying coffee after a long walk with the dogs. -4 deg at the forest, a real winter wonderland today with hoar frost covering everything like a blanket of snow....

Just pottering around now for a while and expecting eldest son to arrive from Leicester to have lunch with us a little later.

Morning Bob and All Love those clips, Bob, especially the one for Eileen - anyone know how she is getting on? Hope all is well soon for her.

After such a lovely day yesterday - Loki enjoyed our walk to Elderslie yesterday and the walk around Willie Wallace's monument - and then on into the wee village of Elderslie where my hairdresser is - and back home again, it was an enjoyable walk for the both of us - however, it isn't a nice morning so far - it is dull and dreich so far; still, it may clear up for another long walk with Loki later on.

Good morning all, not a cloud in the sky today, cold but that is to be expected. I'm not a very religious man but I said a prayer that my Son would pass his final exams in the advanced computer course he's on, the tests were this week and he passed them all!, I'm very proud of him, the other prayer was for our Eileen so fingers crossed.
Friday the 13th did not go away without a hitch, getting down from the attic yesterday I missed the last rung of the ladder (again) and twisted my ankle, its a bit sore today so no dancing tonight.

'morning AB and all of you out there

It's plus 1 here and feels quite mild 'tho we did have a slight smattering of snow during the night. Dogs were also barking madly at something going on in the forrest at 4am and at daybreak the sparrow hawks and other birds of prey were circling in the sky so I wonder what we'll find on our walk this afternoon.

I am also wondering how Eileen is as I haven't seen any update for a while now, do hope she is recovering OK.

Hello everyone

Everywhere looked so picturesque this morning with the white frost sparkling from the ground and trees etc. It's still only 2ºC here at the moment.

I nipped out to the shops earlier to get a few odds and ends then back indoors to the warmth and a nice cup of coffee

I do hope Eileen is showning signs of improvement today...... sending you comforting *hugs* Eileen.
I am amazed at the wonderful support Eileen is receiving from everyone here ....she will be truly amazed when she is back here reading your posts.

Its a beautiful day here today, sunny and very cold but who cares as long as we see the sun. Phoebe has been her walk but saw no-one to talk to as is usual at the weekends. Am always glad when they are over as we seem in limbo. Have a good weekend all.

Good morning forum folks. It's -1C here as we prepare for the first snow of the year tonight into tomorrow morning. I was up early this morning cleaning my apartment kitchen from yesterday's slumming. I plan on heading to McDonald's in a few minutes. I love to get some reading done there as well as visit with the seniors.
