Lovely Saturday

Dark cold wet and rather dismal weather here with none of mother natures creatures venturing out yet so our morning walk was quiet apart from the odd mooing sound coming from the farm.

Plans for today as the house is back to normal are relaxing this morning lunch at sone local establishment then more relaxing in the afternoon to recharge the batteires that got run down a bit cleaning up yesterday.

Looks to be a pleasant day here today, sun trying to peep out through the clouds.

Have been working like a trojan last couple of days doing some spring cleaning (early, I know), gives me self-satisfaction anyway.

A very good morning everyone fine and sunny here with a cold wind. Someone had left the gate into the field open again but the sheep were to busy munching on a load of swedes to notice so none had escaped.

I am babysitting tonight so intend to have a fairly leisurely day in preparation

We still have snow but it's surprisingly mild so I think it might thaw soon.

As usual both dogs are sleeping soundly, this is the time when they really sleep deep, unlike at night when I think they only lightly sleep and are ready to defend their home if intruders come by

Good Morning Bob and Everyone Damp and drizzly outside but looks like it will brighten up! Cold though and I am frozen indoors as my heating has broken down. Called Scottish Gas yesterday and an engineer is coming out this morning! I hope so as my poor fingers are so cold I can hardly type! Loki doesn't mind it though - she has her thick fur coat to keep her warm! The parrots are screaming though and flying about their cages - probably to keep warm!!

A mild day today with no rain in the forecast. I need to visit Jack the Cat today but may just wait until this afternoon. I'm thinking of taking a drive to 7 waterfalls in the Columbia River Gorge to try my new lens there. I haven't done a road trip in months so that's a real possibility.

Good afternoon to all it's a beautiful sunny day here so the washing is out on the line once again. I've noticed a few weeds beginning to appear in the garden but they will just have to stay there until I have a bit more movement in my back. It's lovely to see all the bulbs pushing their way up through the soil.

Indoors I have two orchids beginning to flower and another one which is still growing its flower stem. My amarylis is 19in (48cm) tall and the bud looks ready to open anytime now.

No further news of Eileen as yet, I do hope she is improving - I miss her posts on here and Catsey

Good evening all, not too bad a day here, dry and mildish.
My day was going great at the start, had a bit of luck on the nags and no leaks in the shed after a heavy nights rain. then the Wife asks me to put the Christmas tree box into the attic, no problem, until she insists on 'Helping" me, then everything starts to go wrong, she pushes this way and I pull that way, we could never do anything in unison, total confusion ensued, in the end it took half an hour to get the coffin shaped box into the attic, and the curses from the pair of us would put Gordon Ramsey to shame, thank God it won't be coming down for another year.

Was another wild and windy night again last night and the winds continued until late afternoon-now all is quiet. Apart from that, it has been a very pleasant day with sunshine at times.

Walking this morning and afternoon, weekly shop after dinner and in between looking after my friend's two dogs while she was away for the day-they both get on well with Hatti, so looking after them is easy....
