Will it ever end ?

13 months into the Covid crisis and there is no end in sight. They say that by the end of the month, there will be 500,000 U.S. deaths. Now we are hearing about new variants that are much more transmissible than the original.
Is it EVER going to end ?

It does make you wonder if it will end one day, Bakerman.

It certainly makes you appreciate the folk you can't see or hug and the things we took for granted ,that we can't do now

I wonder if we will ever again have "normal" lives.

I know how you feel bakerman. I don’t think we’ll ever live normal lives again. So many families destroyed, livelihoods too.
It’s just draining.

As horrible as it currently feels, take heart in the fact that in terms of proportions of population, this is far far better than other historical pandemics and that what may well be an effective set of vaccines and treatments have been found and are being rolled out so quickly.

According to people who know there is at least another year of this before the vaccines start to make a big difference.

Meanwhile our pollies say that it is unlikely our international borders to the USA and Europe will be opened in 2021.

There is a way to go.

The most important question is are we going to live through it?

Before the new "Normal", never openly saw folks hugging, etc etc, so many folks missing something that was not openly apparent. Folks always want to do something when they can't, pity they did not have the same vigour when they could.
