Good Morning Friday.

Hi

Good Morning All and Happy New Year.

Time flies, I am 70 in 50 weeks but still as mad as a hatter.

Today I am on the exercise bike, I need to get as fit as possible.

Enjoy your day everyone, and stay safe.

Good morning everybody on this 1st January 2021. A start to better times we hope.

Tony & I stayed up & toasted the new year with a glass of ginger wine. I've never not seen the new year in. We went to bed soon afterwards but we could hear fireworks going off all around us.

So - did you see the new year in last night?

Re: Good Morning Friday.

Good morning to all, and a happy new year to you.

Good to hear that you're OK Swimmy, and another year under your belt, so not all bad news..

No Carol, we haven't bothered seeing in the new year for at least the last 30, I just can't keep my eyes open that long...

Nothing planned for the day yet. We are just back from our walk and having a brew whilst we contemplate the day, the only thing that is set in stone is our new year and Brexit celebratory lunch of steak and chips, the rest of the day will no doubt take care of itself.

Have a pleasant day everyone

Good morning everyone cold and grey, the temperature has risen just above freezing and we have sleet..

I am bread making this morning, wholemeal rolls a warm and cosy task. I have also got a kg of brined shallots to bottle so plenty to do.

Enjoy your day

Re: Good Morning Friday.

morning all and Happy New Year

We had a bottle of wine to see in the new year and there were lots of fireworks going off in the town.

No work for me today and dont plan on doing much.

Going to dads, i made him some shepherds pies to freeze, he loves my cooking. I'll be keeping him company a while then back home to lounge about.

Boring day but I enjoy days busy doing nothing, I deserve it!

May 2021 be a happy year for all

I certainly did. I set the TV to turn itself on at 11.45 so I could watch the fireworks. As soon as it was over... zzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Up at 6.30am to get the garbage bin in and see what 2021 had in store - grey and overcast exactly as 2020 ended - just as cool 23° again

Apart from my morning walk (which is allowed) I am obeying Glady's instruction to stay at home, plenty of jobs to be found about the house. Won't need milk until Monday.

Re: Good Morning Friday.

Good morning and a happy new year to you all

Stayed up to see the new year in, had phone calls from our son and daughter just after midnight.

Two ambulances stopped outside the house yesterday and 4 paramedics dressed in full PPE went in my next door neighbours house. They were in the house for approximately an hour when they took her out to the ambulance to the hospital. What an awful time to be admitted, I hope they managed to find a safe bed for her .

Have a good day...

Certainly. Never miss it and toast the new year with a single malt (a 12yr-old in this case).

Two sets of fireworks going off everywhere last night - one set at 11PM for our escape from the EU, and another set for the New Year.
