Les Grenouille and a Bon Noël

It's going to be horrible for everyone especially the truck drivers stuck here as a result of the French destroying their return home for Christmas FOR NO GOOD REASON.

Worse yet is what little seems to being done to provide the bare necessities for the poor sods just stuck. Apparently no lavatories or water though is suspect some water may be getting through unofficially.

I do believe that our government on this occasion should put the foreigners stuck here away from friends and most of all families on the same list as the homeless and vulnerable here, and perhaps through the Red Cross, Sally Army, or whoever at such short notice, even our military might be called in.

No chance the bloody French will do anything and someone has to.

Re: Les Grenouille and a Bon Noël

Local groups have offered to help with food and drink.

Response from local council as you would expect.

However, Thanet council says donations are not needed, as the Department for Transport would ensure provisions.
They are now, since this started on Sunday, getting their act together.

"Not needed"?

"Sikh volunteers and local football team unite to feed 1,000 lorry drivers stuck at Dover"

"This is a medical problem and a French overreaction to brilliant British science, and that's different from the paperwork situation that will arise from a no-deal Brexit.

Politicians from UK and EU are clearly out of their depth it appears the Brexit process is too complex and unpredictable.

The French leaders putting their own lorry drivers in difficulties, but local Brits stepping in to help them.

I wonder whether the Frogs feel proud of themselves.

In comments, many Brexit supporters hit out at France’s response to the UK’s announcement about a new strain of coronavirus.

One person said Mr Macron’s actions were “very immature” and therefore the UK should not continue talking to the Europeans as “you don't reward children for bad behaviour”.

A second reader said the Prime Minister should go full steam ahead towards a no-deal Brexit in light of Mr Macron’s attitude.

They wrote: “No deal, Boris. Show the mummy’s boy he can't have a tantrum and get what he wants."

And yet a third said Mr Macron had completely overreacted by sealing the border.

They said: “In years gone by Macron’s actions would have been seen as an act of war.”

Another person said regardless of the circumstances, the French “will always take every opportunity to prod the British - they just hate us”.

Others said the globalist president had well and truly “shot himself in the foot with this border closure” because he was “damaging his own hauliers and suppliers as well as the rest of his beloved EU which exports to the UK”.
