More Grenfell shyte?

Kingspan the main contractors seem to be sneaking their money
to safety ?
With the majority share holders selling off their shares on the
stock market?
And at the same time they are in preferred bidder group to buy
shares reported to be worth over£1 billion for shares in another
company with interests in cladding products??
Next l suppose will be Kingspans filing for bankruptcy ??
My info comes from the architects journals which carry interesting
articles on the Grenfell disgrace !!

Why should shareholders not realise stocks they hold at a time that is most beneficial to them? I have on many occasions.

Theres shareholders and share holders Todgy!
When the major share holder and owner of the companys sells off his
shares there must be a reason?
The only reason l can see is, given the circumstances, that he is moving his money to avoid any chance of having to pay substantial
damages due to his and his company's criminal negligence in
causing the deaths of several people and also contributing to the
use of its dangerous product on several more high rise buildings
which to this day still pose a high risk to those unfortunare
enough to be still living in them?
Very soon he will declare bankruptcy leaving nothing to pay out
any compensation claims !!!

There is no single owner in the case of a limited company.

Don't understand. They can only sell their shares if someone is willing to buy them. Or is this just one of those weird and wonderful things that happens in stock markets?

Shares can be traded in a number of ways, many people do so through their high street bank. Others deal through a broker, brokers advertise widely - here is one (of many)

https://www.hl.co.uk/shares/share-de...RoCvfkQAvD_BwE.

To sell shares you simply advise your broker that you want to sell and the broker will post them in the stock exchange that he operates in.

He will then advise you of the price they fetched and soon thereafter credit to your account the money they raised less any charges.

I really thought that I had. I guess it comes down to you tell the broker acting on your behalf that you want to sell and your broker FINDS a buyer for you and takes a slice of the action.

72 people died which is rather more than 'several'.
But if the company(s) responsible evade responsibility for compensation it will ultimately fall upon the government to pay up.

My query was about why anyone would buy shares in a company when the CEO has suddenly decided to sell a load of his own shares. One would assume that he might know something which would make selling his stock now advantageous to him.

One would imagine that people buy into a company with the intention of (dividends aside) being able to sell their shares for a profit at a later date.
