Re: Going Well in the Netherlands is it ?

The following isn't new but it shows the probable effects of Brexit on the Dutch.

"The Dutch government assumes that, even without Brexit, the Dutch contribution to the EU is likely to increase from € 8.3 billion in 2021 to about € 10 billion in 2027. Now that the UK has left the EU, the Netherlands will be required to make a larger contribution – even if the EU budget were to remain unchanged."

They know it's going to cost them more to fund the EU budget.

' "The CPB calculated that the decline in trade with the UK would cost the Dutch economy around 1.2% of its gross domestic product in 2030, i.e. approximately € 10 billion. '

Extra payments to the EU budget; loss of trade; billions of Euros in other direct and indirect costs .............. no wonder they aren't happy bunnies.
