Shortest Day.

Happy Winter Solstice everyone. A day of the sun and ancestors. It just gets lighter and brighter from now on.

Re: Shortest Day.

Does it? Thank goodness for that. I'll do my yoga Salute to the Sun a few times this evening then.

There will still be 24 hours in a day but there will be more lighter hours, good news for people who suffer from S.A.D

Re: Shortest Day.

I am always glad to greet the winter solctice .
Although it heralds the start of what is usually the coldest part of the year, we have turned the corner and are on the slow path to the long days of summer once more.

Re: Shortest Day.

I've been looking forward to the Winter Solstice, which is normally on 21 December, but it's the 22nd today.

I also hate early dark nights so am looking forward to lighter nights from now on.

Yes, we're on the up and up now, but don't let's wish our time away, we don't have that much of it left.....
