Indulgence

Everywhere I go I can't keep away from book shops - E-bay & Amazon are pretty good too.
I realised this morning that I have 2 boxes full of books waiting to be read - they'd just kind of piled up.

The ones I have will most likely last me till Christmas. Time to stop collecting for a while I think

Boots ... all kinds of boots. Ankle boots, high heeled boots, thigh boots ..... I just love boots.

Same as you, but unlike you have have read all the books I now have in 3 large Tesco bags, from the first day of lockdown. I bought 5 more today at a car boot sale & am reading one of those. I have two on order from Amazon, they should be here Monday. I am posessed.

BTW I have just finished Jojo Moyes The Giver Of Stars it was very good.

I only tend to buy stuff with a passion at a bargain price with a residual value, so, if a change of mind comes about, one is not out of pocket.

Carol I can’t indulge in a draught pint of Guinness or the company of the other old geezers in the pub any more because God knows when they’ll be open again, that’s if any pubs can financially survive this, the old smoking ban wiped out more than half of them never to open again, 4 out of 7 in my area alone.

I used to read a lot but my eyes are not the best now, so I like to watch old films on youtube, or listen to the many audio books available there, while relaxing with a slim cigar and a glass or two of Sandeman port.

My indulgences are cooking, playing my guitar and the occasional surf. Simple pleasures.
