Do you know the difference beteen a spade and a shovel?

Erm .... a spade is smaller and has a sharper cutting edge ... whereas a shovel is more for shoveling piles of stuff around?

A shovel is for getting coal out of a coal bunker & a spade is for digging the ground.

Not exactly correct ladies.
A shovel has curved sides to hold what is put on it on the blade, where as a spade has a flat sided blade used more for digging.
