There’s been incidents of this involving ambulances dealing with emergency calls, it just goes to show that you can’t fix stupid.

Although I probably wouldn't do it if a vehicle was just left on my drive I can sorta see the point. Especially if there was adequate space for it to be parked elsewhere and just as close to the emergency.

I agree. Especially if they were there for some time. Try seeing how long you could get away with parking across the entrance to a police station.
