This cottge belonged to a male friend of mine who spent his life looking after his mother till she died .
He was a talentd Engineer /Carpenter and had built much of the Cottage himself. The interior was quite shabby but suited him.
It stood in an acre of land bounded by a stream, and in the front garden was a Damson Tree
There was an Orchard at the back with tall old Apple Trees.
In the long grass there was body of an old Jaguar car and a Railway Signal Box as Railways were his hobby.
He invited me to Tea and to paint in his garden which was full of perfumed Roses, and Wisteria, and Irises.
Sadly he's gone and the Cottage was sold for £600.000.
He was such a Gentleman.
