Winters Monday

Good morning people

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjW2rrK5vRU

It is sleeting down rather heavily here with gusting winds and the thermometer showing a lowly 1ˌ degree, not a creature is stirring which I dont blame them and our morning walk was shorter han normal due to the weather.

Plans for today are a visit to the hospital, lunch at some local establishment with our neighbour then an afternoon of relaxation.

Have a great day everyone and remember

Re: Winters Monday

Morning Bob and Everyone The snow started here yesterday morning then turned to heavy sleet. Last night it started snowing again and is now lying on the ground, the roads are all slush but that's caused by the traffic! Horrid - I do hate the snow. It is minus 2 Celsius but that I can put up with as I don't feel the cold much!

Hope that you have better weather where you all are.

Thanks for the links, Bob, good ones.

Take care all.

Crikey you are a hardy species up there BK, it is sleeting here, 1deg and I am perished.... Might have to throw more wood on the fire and boil another pot of coffee until it warms up....

No real plans for today other than walking the dogs and cooking cottage pie for lunch, then relax with a book methinks.

Hope your neighbour's OK now Bob and thanks for the songs, just the job....

Have a great day all and hey, let's dig out the thermals and to hell with fashion....

Re: Winters Monday

Good morning those who have already posted and all who follow AB I hope your neighbour is getting better. The weather is brightening up here but there is a cruel wind which made my eyes stream as I took Chloe for her early walk.

All gloom and doom here. I was kept awake by my neighbour's two dogs crying and barking under my window. My neighbour must be away and her son out sowing wild oats all night. The dogs are whippets and I was so worried they were shut out in the cold I went out in my dressing gown at 2.30am to see what I could do. I was able to see the back door was open so they could get into the house which was reassuring.

I still have a very bad cold, the twins have hand/foot and mouth (a virus which causes blisters in the afore mentioned areas) and are quite poorly and the rest of the family my nasty throat and cold.

Stay well everyone and have an enjoyable day .

Re: Winters Monday

Good morning all. It's pretty chilly here this morning at 26F or -3C. Another clear, sunny day however, is forecast.

I'll be packing up my camera gear to photograph a church Christmas tree this morning. By the time I'm done they'll have a beautiful Christmas card for their members.

Nothing else planned for today. It's toasty warm in my apartment thanks to the adjustments to my balcony door last week. I hated it when there was a draft blowing the inside blind due to air leaks there.

Have a warm, fuzzy day all!

Re: Winters Monday

Good morning everyone

I feel almost guilty having to tell you that we have a beautiful sunny day here in the SW, blue sky and not a cloud in sight ........ I wish I could share it with you.

Have been out this morning looking for buffet items to fill the freezer, I do bake a lot myself but it's always good to have a back-up just in case.

My hubby has an appointment with the doctor this afternoon to confirm if he has shingles or not. The rash is spreading and he has nerve tingling/pain in his shoulder. Thankfully I am feeling a lot better today.

Meg - sorry to hear you and your family are all suffering with nasty colds and virus's now. Poor little twins too I hope you all start to feel better soon.

AB - I hope your neighbour is recovering...

BobM - I'm looking forward to seeing your pic of the Christmas tree .....please!

I hope all the poorly people will feel better soon, take care and stay warm all...

Re: Winters Monday

Thanks Mags .
It does sound rather like Shingles . Sometimes if it is seen fast enough the Doctor may prescribe an antiviral for Shingles, mine was deemed to be seen too late.
I found calomine lotion helped with the itching/pain also small jell ice packs from Boots.
