fibre optic trees

Anyone who has one, or is thinking of getting one be very careful, I had one a few years back, heated up and started to burn.

Crikey Jean......Thanks for the warning.....Hope no one was hurt and there was no damage.

We always get a real one but i'm a stickler for switching all the fairy lights off if we go out.Heard so many stories of house fires caused by overheated lights......

I have a small one which I use in the dining room. It must be about 6 years old now and I've had no trouble with it .........yet!!!

Oh dear thats worrying,I have bought the smallest possible Christmas Tree from M&S its planted in a pot and I may be lucky and pot it on after Christmas.

mine is small also never have it pluged in for a long time
it has a transformer big plug on it

We never leave our small fibre optic tree switched on for long..... the longest it has been on is about one and a half hours....

I have a nice looking artificial tree which I put separate lights on and coloured balls. I have had it for many years and I still think it looks good up. It stands about 5 ft tall and comes down into three sections. It will be going up in a few weeks my only concession to Christmas decs cos I like the look of it.
