What annoys you about Christmas

While there is still time, what really annoys you about Christmas, for myself just one thing, the word XMAS, I have even seen churches advertising XMAS fairs, and as a word, it so gets on my nerves, while I am not overly religious, I do think people should take into account what it is supposed to be about, I know business does it as a shortened word for Christmas, but is it really necessary, after all its only 2 letters shorter than the actual word, so any thing else

Starts too early! I hate all the ads that are coming on telly now because by the time Christmas is here, it just feels like another day! There is no anticipation or excitement about it nowadays - but that is because I am the age I am!! It is too commercialised now and has lost its meaning.

I'm afraid I'm going for bah humbug too... if you aren't religious then it's just a two week blowout binge for no rhyme or reason, ridiculous......

It is all the madness that is associated with christmas now adays.
I love christmas the same as the next person but why do shops have to start selling christmas so early.
By the time it arrives i am so fed up.
The amount of food that is bought for just two days, scandalous.
I have to admit this year i do not feel christmassy at all, i think i am just too tired.

I don't like the Xmas word either Aitch but I have to use it until December 1st which is early enough for me to start the festive season, on Dec.1st I will be shouting it out loud and my vow not to use the C........ until then will be over, I have a bet on with the missus and sometimes she sneaks a look over my shoulder, checking up on me no doubt.

I'm not religious either and I hate the word Xmas. I also agree that it shouldn't even be thought about until 1 December.

In fact, I agree with what everyone else has said so far as regards the commercialism and greed of it.

I always feel sorry for the staff on checkouts at supermarkets, having to listen to those non-stop ghastly endless christmas songs, one after the other. If it was me, I think I'd go "postal", as they say in the States.
