Empty town centre

went with Sue into Bexhill on sea town centre and hardly anyone about/ You could have fired a machine gun and hit no one. Plenty of roadside parking spaces unbelievable, still a lot of trhe shops were closed and of course no cafes open either. Makes a change from holiday makers taking over the place

Shops who have put safety measures into place other than essential ones were allowed to open from Monday but not cafes and restaurants . Perhaps those type are simply not ready yet?

In town signs on lampposts and pavement to remind you to keep distance and stay to your left. Small shops cannot open simply because of the 2 metre distance. Buses have taped off seats to keep passengers apart and are reluctant to accept cash for fare.

People are still wary and wonder is the extra hassle worth it.

I again repeat...... I am going nowhere near a town centre yet, probably not for a long time.

Our small town centre is quite busy now . A lot of young people live here ,they don’t show any obvious anxiety .
