Every little helps
Not often this happens but have to compliment Tesco staff on this one.Last week we did a bit of a shop at one of their stores and I stupidly left an item valued at £6. at the checkout.
it was not noticed when we unpacked as I thought Mrs H had stowed it away and she thought I had.
Anyway, we realised this morning ( a week later ) that it was not here. We had no receipt or any other proof of purchase but toddled up to the store just on the off chance without any real hope of getting it.
What a surprise, it had been listed as 'Lost & found' and the guy behind the counter ran over and got a replacement off the shelf without a second thought.
Not often we can say thanks but thanks guys.
I have done a similar thing and the goods were found by the next person through the till (this was in the days where there used to be a stack of bags in the checkout packing area ).
