It is silly for both the adore and the person who is being put on a pedestal and adored like an Icon or Deity
You can waste your life adoring another person and making excuses for all their faults and misdemeanors.

And,it is very burdensome being adored as you feel you have to be....'On your best behavour all the times'.

Also you are considering the adored person much better than yourself.

You should first learn to like yourself, then most people will also like too.

Some people lead a charmed life. Others tread on eggshells around them. Perhaps that's where the smell is from.
