Favourite Kitchen Gadget

We all like gadgets and probably buy many that end up at the back of cupboards or unused in a drawer, but what have you bought that you would rather not live without?

For me its my bread maker and my steamer.

Re: Favourite Kitchen Gadget

It has to be my electric can opener, bread maker and my Kenwood mini chopper which gets used on a daily basis

It's my slow-cooker for me. Use it on a regular basis-would be lost without it.

Re: Favourite Kitchen Gadget

An SKK Sauté Pan , cost a lot but worth every penny and it should see me out .

I don't really go in for gadgets, good knives are a must.

The little metal steaming baskets which fit in any size saucepan pan are great too. I can use one to cook a variety of vegetables at once and still retain the individual flavours.

Also love my old earthenware casseroles, essential for a good hotpot or stew and dumplings.

Toaster oven, electric frying pan, electric kettle ... can't narrow to only one.

What a good thread idea!
