Brilliant. If ever there was a case of trying to clamp down on a free press, this was it. The jury gave the right decision in my opinion.

They can't deny they published the letter so I don't understand how they could get away with it.

I wouldn't like a private letter of mine to be published for the world to see - would you?

Her father passed the letter to the DM. The question is who owns the copyright of the letter, Cringe or her dad in the absence of a copyright statement.

I agree with Carol.
It was private and no one had a right to print it for the world to read.

Mind you, I don't know if I am right or wrong, but I seem to remember her Father being blamed for showing it to the press in the first place?
