I think you will find this with most forums Jean. People join and then lose interest. I don't know of any forum which actiually deletes accounts but I suppose it is an option if there is a space issue.

I think some people just like to read posts but haven't got a lot to say themselves or lack the confidence to post. I have noticed on sites you tend to have a core of regular posters which grows slowly but steadily over time, occasional posters and transient members .

It's sad that when some members pass away on forums everyone is left in the dark, but thats the way it is when nobody really knows anyone. I also think people get bored after a while posting and lay off for a while and when they return they find they are out of touch and dont bother to catch up. That only what I think anyway Jean.
