Just been outside to take a couple of photos, same camera at same distance but with two different lenses.
One lens is what is called a prime lens, in other words the Focal distance is fixed at 50mm. The other lens has a variable lens in this case 24-70mm. That lens I also set at 50mm.
Now generally speaking the prime 50mm lens should be the sharper.

Your job is to decide which is which. or are they both the same? this is to help me decide which is better to use for specific purposes

I am no photographer - just a happy snapper - but I think the second one - lens B - is the better one. The colours are brighter and the details clearer.

That telephoto lens makes the same photo look slightly foggy and dull imho. It's definitely less sharply focused.

The vignette in photo A is generally caused by a telephoto lens, which makes B the prime lens.
